We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Symposium on Avoiding, Detecting, and Preventing Counterfeit Electronic Parts will be held on December 2-3, 2009.
Gather and meet with other industry professionals from all sectors of the market including original component manufacturers, franchised and independent distributors, original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers, government agencies and associations addressing the counterfeit problem. Collaborate with industry experts and practitioners in interactive and mind opening workshops. Going beyond anecdotes and examples of counterfeit parts, this symposium focuses on the solutions that are available and are under development by all sectors of the industry.
In addition to five technical sessions, there will be a supply chain panel discussion answering questions from the audience with participation of original component manufacturers, franchised and independent distributors, prime contractors, and industry groups. The panel will address issues confronting the supply chain due to counterfeiting and ways the various channels can work together to mitigate the problem.
Participants will also have choice of attending one of three hands-on workshops on counterfeit parts avoidance training for EEE parts by NASA, on global intellectual property strategies and working with global enforcement agencies by Global Intellectual Property Strategy Center, P.C., and on material, physical, and electrical testing techniques to identify counterfeit EEE parts by CALCE and Integra Technologies.
Workshops – Wednesday, December 2 (1:30pm – 5:00pm)
- Physical, material, and electrical testing techniques in the laboratory to identify and mitigate EEE counterfeit risk
- Led by CALCE and Integra Technologies Counterfeit Parts Avoidance Training for EEE Parts Led by NASA/JPL
