CALCE Releases Pb-free Solder Reliability Software

| Home | Consortium Members' Area | Consortium Projects | Consortium Software |

As part of CALCE's Pb-free research and upon completion of a two year research program, CALCE has released a new strain range based reliability software for SAC solder, the most widely used Pb-free solder. The new software contains dependencies on temperature and dwell time that have been determined from analysis of data from various test programs as well as an extensive designed experiment performed by CALCE. The software allows users to estimate acceleration factors between test and field conditions. The new software is incorporated in calcePWA Release 5.0 which is part of the CALCE Simulation Assisted Reliability Assessment TM Software suite. Contact Dr. Michael Osterman.
