CALCE Battery Working Group
This project aims to develop a state-of-the-art knowledge base providing best practices for accelerated battery life testing, testing datasets covering a variety of Li-ion battery types, and robust battery degradation models for life estimation. The other objective of this work is to identify abnormalities in battery behavior prior to use, to identify anomalies in performance, specified and un-specified material changes, and defects.
CALCE will deliver a monthly webinar including experimental results, modeling, best testing practices and technical insights. The webinar presentation will be delivered to the participants. Also, we will share the experimental data without disclosing the name of the battery manufacturers.
How To Join
The Battery Working Group is open to all interested organizations. The participation fee is $10,000 and the organization must sign the CALCE Consortia Agreement (Download). For existing CALCE Consortia Members, we can invoice separately for the participation fee.

CALCE is going to hold a series of 10 webinars to present the deliverables associated with this project via Webex. Additional webinars are possible depending upon the progress of the project. Each presentation and the corresponding data will be uploaded one day before the webinar for review and discussion. During the webinar, we will provide the guidance to read the data.
The members will be allowed to raise the questions through the chat tool on Webex. We will collect all the questions and try to answer them during the webinar. Additional questions can be emailed at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience. The webinars will be conducted on a monthly basis starting from Feb 22, 2018. If there are any changes in the scheduled described below, then we’ll inform everybody well ahead of the time.
